VagiSense® Vaginal Infection Screening Test

VagiSense® is a non-prescription home vaginal infection screening test that helps identify the cause of your vaginal symptoms so that you can get the right treatment and more rapid relief.

What is it?

VagiSense® is a swab that tells you within 10 seconds whether your symptoms are more likely caused by a vaginal yeast infection or a bacterial/parasitic infection. This convenient home test has a soft-coated yellow tip and an easy-to-grip handle for more comfort.

How does it work?

It reacts to your symptoms for a fast diagnosis.
Gently swab your vagina with VagiSense®, and watch to see if its yellow tip changes colour after making contact with your secretions.

Why is it important?

VagiSense® helps you differentiate between a possible vaginal yeast infection and a bacterial/parasitic infection. And this will save you time and get you faster relief with the appropriate treatment you need.
If you have a vaginal yeast infection, you can treat it with over-the-counter medication, avoiding an unnecessary visit to your healthcare professional.

When to test?

You may use VagiSense® if you are of menstruating age and have any of the following symptoms:
- Abnormal or excessive vaginal discharge
- Vaginal itching or vaginal burning
-Vaginal discharge with abnormal colour or unpleasant odour

To ensure valid results, VagiSense® should NOT be used in any of these conditions:
-It is less than one day before or the day after your period
-There are signs of menstruation or any vaginal bleeding
-It is less than 12 hours after sexual intercourse or vaginal douching
-It is less than 72 hours after the application of vaginal preparations such as contraceptive creams or lubricants
